Day 1: Cooper Island – Your Caribbean Welcome
Begin your charter at Cooper Island, home to one of the Caribbean’s most sustainable eco-resorts and a fantastic beach bar. Settle into island time with a rum punch as you watch the sunset paint the sky in brilliant oranges and pinks. The protected anchorage offers excellent snorkeling right off the beach, where you’ll spot colorful parrotfish, angelfish, and maybe even a curious sea turtle. Cooper Island’s laid-back vibe and stunning surroundings provide the perfect introduction to BVI life.
Day 2: Virgin Gorda – The Baths & Beyond
No BVI charter is complete without visiting The Baths, Virgin Gorda’s most famous attraction. These massive granite boulders, some as large as houses, create a maze of tidal pools, tunnels, and hidden beaches that feel like nature’s own cathedral. Explore the caves and grottos formed by these ancient rocks, then relax on the powdery sand of Devil’s Bay Beach. In the afternoon, consider visiting the Copper Mine ruins or indulging in spa treatments at one of Virgin Gorda’s luxury resorts.
Day 3: North Sound – A Sailor’s Paradise
Sail into North Sound, often called the Caribbean’s most beautiful natural harbor. This protected lagoon is surrounded by luxury resorts and offers world-class dining, water sports, and relaxation. Visit the famous Bitter End Yacht Club for their legendary rum punches, or head to Saba Rock for conch fritters and cold Painkillers. The calm waters are perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply floating with a cold drink in hand.
Day 4: Anegada – The Flat Island Adventure
Today’s longer sail takes you to Anegada, the BVI’s unique coral atoll. Unlike the mountainous volcanic islands, Anegada rises just 28 feet above sea level and boasts the Caribbean’s most pristine beaches. The island is famous for its lobster – caught fresh daily by local fishermen and grilled to perfection at beachside restaurants. Spend your day exploring the famous Horseshoe Reef, home to over 300 shipwrecks and some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean. The flamingo pond offers a chance to spot these magnificent pink birds in their natural habitat.
Day 5: Jost Van Dyke – The Party Island
No BVI charter is complete without experiencing the legendary nightlife of Jost Van Dyke. Home to the world-famous Soggy Dollar Bar (birthplace of the Painkiller cocktail) and Foxy’s Bar, this small island packs a big punch. During the day, enjoy the beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. As evening approaches, join the cruising community for sundowners and live music. The island’s relaxed, party atmosphere makes it a favorite among sailors from around the world.
Day 6: Norman Island – Treasure Island Magic
Your final full day takes you to Norman Island, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island.” Explore the famous caves at Treasure Point, where legend says pirates once hid their gold. Snorkel through the underwater caverns (with proper guidance) and discover the vibrant marine life that calls these caves home. The island’s secluded beaches and excellent snorkeling make it the perfect spot for your last day of Caribbean adventure. Don’t miss the floating bar at The Willy T for a memorable final night celebration.
Return to Tortola – Memories to Last a Lifetime
Your final morning offers one last chance to soak in the Caribbean sunshine before returning to your base in Tortola. Reflect on a week of incredible experiences – from swimming through granite caves to dancing under the stars, from spotting sea turtles to savoring the world’s best lobster. The BVI has worked its magic, and you’ll already be planning your return.
